April 6, 2018, 5:00 PM - April 30, 2018, 4:00 PM @ Sequim Civic Center
Enjoy the spectacular award-winning photos selected from more than 5,500 entries. The winning photos were originally published in the Summer 2017 issue of Audubon Magazine and show birdlife at its most vivid, vulnerable, formidable, and elegant. Photographers from 49 states and eight Canadian provinces submitted images in three categories: professional, amateur, and youth. A panel of five judges had the daunting task of shifting through the stunning images and grading them based on technical quality, originality, and artistic merit.
Meet 2017 award-winning photographer Heather Roskelley and 2016 Grand Prize winner Bonnie Block at the First Friday Art Walk Reception on Friday, April 6 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
April 26, 2018, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Dungeness River Audubon Center
An all outdoor, teacher led play group that nurtures connection with community and nature hosted by Olympic Nature Experience in cooperation with Dungeness River Audubon Center. Through sensory exploration, nature knowledge, games, stories, songs and nature play, families are given the opportunity to connect with their children in a relaxed, safe, and supported way in nature. While role modeling play and discovery with their children, families receive the restorative gifts of nature in a supportive group environment.
Please bring your own snack, an extra change of clothes for the children, and waterproof shoes in the winter. We often walk through shallow streams or play around slippery mud.
