On December 8th, we're hosting a fundraiser gala that is sure to be an evening to remember. Here's what's going down: 4pm : Silent Auction to support our efforts 6pm : Dinner is served, catered by Sunshine Cafe 6pm : Live Music by Sequim's own, Bread & Gravy The evening will be filled with incredible food, shopping, live music, and good friends. *Although this IS a fundraiser for the dogs, we ask that you please leave your furry friend at home. 7. Field Hall Presents: The Queen’s Cartoonists Holiday Hurrah

    December 9, 2023, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
    @
    Field Arts & Events Hall

Keenly aware of all things holiday-oriented and completely ridiculous, musical ensemble The Queen’s Cartoonists have set out to find the best of the best (and best of the worst) holiday related cartoons, films, and jazz. Tickets: $15 - $60 Pulling from over 100 years of animation, TQC’s performances are perfectly synchronized to the films projected on stage. The band matches the energy of the cartoons, leading the audience through a world of virtuosic musicianship, multi-instrumental mayhem, and comedy. Projections of animated films dazzle the audience, while the band re-creates original soundtracks note-for-note, or writes their own fresh compositions to modern pieces, all the while breathing new light into two uniquely American forms of art: jazz and animation. Tying everything together is the TQC brand of comedy - anecdotes about the cartoons and the composers, stream-of-consciousness humor, and elements of a musical circus.

He stumped Penn & Teller twice on their hit TV show Fool Us. He has amazed and entertained audiences from all over the world, including his own off Broadway run. He is hailed as one of the most unique and innovative illusionists in the world. Combining breathtaking visuals with Vitaly’s captivating style, An Evening of Wonders is an interactive theatrical experience that takes the audience on a magical journey. Along the way, Vitaly blends art and illusion to illustrate the story of his transformation from a boy with a dream to a man with a vision—the vision of a world where the rules of reality do not exist. In this world paintings spring to life, photographs become mini-movies, and audience members see their faces vanish from their own driver’s licenses. Even time itself reverses as bare broken branches visibly repair and renew themselves with the green leaves of spring. “One of the most unique and innovative illusionists in the world” – Chicago Tribune
