Area Fishing Opportunities

With an abundance of fresh and saltwater resources near Sequim, there are fishing opportunities for all interests:

• Catch silver salmon in the Dungeness River
• Catch halibut, cutthroat, and steelhead in the Strait of Juan de Fuca
• Catch shrimp, oysters, and the famous Dungeness crab in Sequim Bay and Discovery Bay

Annual Kid's Fishing Day

Each year in May, kids 14 years old and younger are invited to participate in the Annual Kid’s Fishing Day held at the Reuse Water Reclamation Site Pond just north of Carrie Blake Park. No fishing license is required. Kids are allowed to keep two fish each. Worms and power bait are available, and a cleaning station is provided.

The event is sponsored by the Puget Sound Anglers North Olympic Peninsula Chapter.
