In-City Lavender Events

Sequim Lavender Festival Street Fair
The Sequim Lavender Festival® celebrates its 17th year in the heart of Sequim and in the surrounding Dungeness Valley, during the July 19-21, 2013 weekend. Solely produced and managed by the member-growers of the Sequim Lavender Growers Association™, the Lavender Festival will expand its production to include activities and regional attractions for the modern family and multi-aged visitors. There are 7 free farms open to the public, along with the Street Fair. The Street Fair is located in downtown Sequim, on Fir Street between Sequim Avenue and Third Avenue.

The growers will offer original and hand-crafted gifts and personal care items produced from their Sequim lavender harvest at their attractive vendor booths all three days. The imagination is limitless when it involves the ancient and modern uses of lavender – from hydrating oils, lotions and soaps, relaxing eye pillows, culinary ingredients and pet apparel to the beautifully prepared lavender bouquets and lavender buds. And, of course, unique and hard-to-locate lavender plants will be available at the Street Fair and the farms.

This lavender-themed event consists of a high end juried street fair consisting of all forms of art techniques and media, photography, pottery, metalwork, leatherwork, carvings, jewelry, fibers and precious minerals and rocks.

There is nothing lacking for the discerning appetite, vegan or hot dog lover at our food court and beer and wine garden with signature offerings. We'll serve BBQ, lavender ice cream, crab cakes and salmon, pizza, Greek food and Thai, coffee and freshly made crepes. These foodies were selected to be part of our festival for their menus, customer satisfaction and friendliness to all of our visitors. All of this is surrounded by continuous live music from Northwest bands and ensembles.

This three-day weekend in mid-July is the beginning of the lavender harvest season. There is nothing like it anywhere to stimulate the senses and imagination than the fragrance and presence of lavender in the field.

The Sequim Lavender Growers Association member farms, as a part of the Sequim Lavender Festival, are open to the public for free self-guided visits during the Sequim Lavender Weekend. These family-friendly farms are an important part of the agri-tourism community. Using a driving guide map, visitors to these intimate farms will enjoy lavender u-pick, shopping in the farm gift shops and photography opportunties. Each farm has its own identity and is sculpted according to the dreams and visions of its resident owners. Farm owners will be on hand to meet guests. The farms are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Admission to these farms is free. This is a self-guided farm tour. There is no bus transportation to these locations, but each farm has parking available. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy your day after visiting the Sequim Lavender Festival Street Fair.

Experience the lavender farms that have made Sequim world famous for 17 years.
Fri-Sun 10am-6pm

The Heritage Lavender Farm Tour features 5 stunning, iconic lavender farms, including one of the oldest lavender farms in the valley. Our farmers have over 125 years of lavender-growing experience, live on the land and are full time farmers. Each farm is a beautiful destination and a festival within itself with fields of lavender, lavender plants and products, food, music, beverages, crafts, workshops, and more. Farmers share their techniques for growing and using lavender. Visit the farms at your own pace, relax, and take in the aroma of lavender. Free pet-sitting is provided at Lavender Arts & Crafts Faire in the Park. No dogs on the farms, please.

Visit all 5 farms for one low price for the entire weekend! Advanced tickets are only $10 online and at the farms and local ticket outlets through Thursday night. During the weekend, tickets are $15 for adults. Active duty military & dependents are always $10 and children 12 and under are always free. Each farm has plenty of free parking, and you can visit the farms as often as you please.
